Sign In Person

Sign In-Person is a new feature for the Sign Request created for cases where the signer is physically located near the document or its owner, and the device control is handed to another person to fill out the fields. The most common use case is putting a signature using the tablet (e.g., in a bank, hospital, etc.).

Note: The Sign In-Person is a paid feature available only for Pro Plan users.

The option for "sign in-person" will show when you click the "Prepare Sign Request" button on the right-side panel. On the "Name" field you can change the recipient's default “Client” role and write down his name for convenience. See the screenshots below for your reference.

Once you pass the device to the signer, they can now proceed to fill out the document.

After finalizing the document, the signer will be given the option to get a copy of the finalized document by entering the email address and clicking the "send me a copy" button.

Upon returning the device to the owner, the owner will be presented with the option to either sign out of their DocHub account or remain logged in.

Sign In-Person with Verification

For added security, a one-time verification code can be sent to the signer before they can fill out the document. The "require verification" option is available from the "send sign request" modal. This will require putting an email address where the signer wants to receive the verification code. See the screenshots below for reference.

Once the device is passed to the signer, they will need to click the "send email verification" button to continue.

After that, the signer needs to check the one-time verification code sent to their email.

The signer can then enter the code and start filling out the document.
